CRYOTHERAPY
Cryotherapy is a quick, effective treatment that uses extreme cold to safely remove a range of benign skin lesions. Discover more about how the treatment works, what it can treat and what to expect before, during and after your appointment.

Cryotherapy is a highly targeted treatment that uses controlled application of extreme cold to treat suitable benign skin lesions with precision, while helping to minimise damage to the surrounding skin. It can be an effective treatment option for a range of benign lesions, including skin tags, warts, verrucas, milia, cherry angiomas, sebaceous hyperplasia and other suitable benign skin lesions.
The treatment works by carefully freezing the targeted tissue, causing it to break down and allowing the area to heal naturally. The treatment is tailored to the size, depth and type of lesion being treated. The healing process can take up to six weeks, depending on the type, size and location of the lesion. I normally recommend a four-week follow-up appointment so that I can review the area and assess how effectively the lesion has responded to treatment.
Many lesions resolve following a single treatment, while others may require a further session. Where repeat treatment is appropriate, this can normally be carried out after a minimum of four weeks and may be offered at a reduced rate, starting from £30.
Your safety is always my priority. Cryotherapy is only suitable for lesions that have been appropriately assessed as benign and suitable for treatment. If a lesion is changing, bleeding, itchy, unusual or causing you any concern, please see your GP before booking treatment so that it can be assessed and, where appropriate, confirmed as benign.
When booking your appointment, please use the ‘additional information’ box to provide as much detail as possible about the area you would like treated, including its location, approximate size, how long you have had the lesion and whether you have noticed any changes within the last three to six months. This information will help me understand what you would like treated and assess whether an appointment is appropriate.
I am trained and insured to provide cryotherapy treatment to young people aged 11 to 18. Parental consent or parental presence will be required for clients under 18.
Treatment pricing is confirmed at your appointment, as the cost can vary depending on the size and number of lesions being treated.
If you have a benign skin lesion that you would like to discuss before booking, please feel free to contact me by email or WhatsApp. I am happy to answer any questions and advise you on whether an assessment and cryotherapy treatment may be suitable.
