My Story
Hi, I’m Katherine and I’ve been a nurse since 2009. I first started out specialising in Coronary Care then got the travel bug and moved to Saudi Arabia where I ended up working for a family for about seven years. I was lucky enough in that job to spend time at some amazing wellness retreats and got my first taste of the aesthetics industry.
I moved back to the UK in 2019 to have my children and decided that maternity leave was the perfect opportunity to train to become an aesthetician!
Now I split my time between my job as a Clinical Research Sister for the National Institute for Health Research, and my business; Katherine Allen Aesthetics.
My Approach
Aesthetics is not about achieving perfection, or just about the way you look. It’s about feeling your best that matters the most. I believe that the main purpose of treatments should be to look healthy and age well which results in a feeling of confidence. Healthy, smooth, glowing skin will always make you look and feel great. Not ageing at all looks really weird, but maturing into one of those ladies who is totally radiant in her 70s; we all want that.
All my treatment plans are focused keeping you looking totally natural. I prefer to take a gentle approach to help you achieve what you want, and will always offer my expertise but never pressure you into something that you don’t feel good about.
Safe and effective treatments are a given, but I also believe that education and understanding is the foundation for ageing well. If you know your skin and understand what it needs, you will soon become an expert and with my help, be able to care for your skin in the most effective way.
Some people come to me because they think their face doesn’t reflect the youthfulness they feel, others because there’s something about their face that makes them feel unhappy. Some of my clients are preparing for a big moment in their lives and they want to feel the most spectacular and beautiful they have ever been.
