CHEMICAL PEEL

Chemical peels are a painless intensive exfoliation treatment which triggers new cell growth. They’re really effective at treating lots of common skin conditions and improving skin texture and glow.

Skin Care

Cleopatra famously used to bath in sour milk (lactic acid) to perfect her skin which are still a safe and effective way to improve your skin.

Chemical peels work by decreasing the pH of the skin, which loosens the connections between dead skin cells, inducing exfoliation and stimulating new cell growth. This process causes superficial layers of dead skin to peel off, revealing a smoother and more radiant complexion. Chemical peels can also thicken the epidermis, increase dermal volume and stimulate collagen.

The facial starts with a cleanse and ends with SPF, but in between there are a variety of masks that will be chosen to specifically suit your skin needs. I use two types of peels; a lactic acid peel which is great for dry or redness prone skin and a glycolic and lactic acid peel which is great for treating acne and sun damage.

Superficial peels rarely cause side effects however, hyperpigmentation can still occur with darker skin types and it’s important to use a good SPF before and after your treatment. Every peel includes a take-home product pack which has includes a cleanser, moisturiser and SPF to use the week following your peel.
